eTOWN HALL SPECIAL EVENT with JEFF MIDKIFF
Concert, Conversation and Earth Day Celebration

For something completely different, join composer and mandolin virtuoso Jeff Midkiff, our own Michael Butterman, and eTown’s Nick Forster for an evening of great music, conversation and refreshments at eTown Hall in Downtown Boulder.
Exploring the bluegrass roots of Jeff’s music, you’ll hear traditional bluegrass favorites mixed in with Jeff’s own material, including excerpts from his Concerto for Mandolin “From the Blue Ridge” to be performed with the Boulder Phil on Saturday, April 26. And no eTown event is complete without wide-ranging conversation about music and the environment, and especially poignant way to wind up our Nature and Music season in honor of Earth Day on April 22.

On Friday evening, October 4, a sold-out crowd gathered for Boulder Phil Fanfare 2013, the popular annual gala fundraiser in support of the artistic and education programs of the Boulder Phil. This year’s event featured a sizzling tribute to the Great American Songbook!
Former Tony Bennett band leader and six-time Grammy-award winner RALPH SHARON, joined by his trio and special guest ROBERTA BRENZA, serenaded guests with the timeless music of American jazz greats, including Cole Porter, Rodgers and Hart, Irving Berlin, George and Ira Gershwin.
