Daniel is a freelance performer and educator currently based in Boulder, CO. Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, he also studied at the University of Michigan with Adam Unsworth and Bryan Kennedy. After graduating, Daniel moved to Los Angeles to continue his studies at the University of Southern California, working primarily with Kristy Morrell and Steven Becknell. While in Los Angeles, Daniel performed with a wide variety of ensembles across the state of California including the Pacific Opera Project, Long Beach Symphony, Santa Monica Symphony, and the Santa Barbara Symphony. After several years of working in Southern California, Daniel decided to return to school to pursue his passion for higher education. Now a student at CU-Boulder, he has been working as a Teaching Assistant in the French horn studio where he helps with undergraduate lessons and studio class. Outside of school, Daniel also teaches a wide variety of brass students ranging from ages 10 to 80. As a performer, he is currently the 4th horn of the Boulder Philharmonic, and has also enjoyed performances with Opera Colorado, and the Colorado Symphony. Since moving to the area in 2023, Daniel has loved exploring all of the beauty that Colorado nature has to offer. The community is incredibly welcoming, and he is looking forward to many more years in Colorado.
