Community Engagement (EdCE)
We believe orchestral music is for everyone. We’re committed to providing a wide array of opportunities for people throughout our community to encounter the life-enriching power of classical music.
Our EdCE Programming brings new and diverse musical experiences to more than 10,000 people from across Boulder County and beyond. Our robust educational programs continue to connect, inspire and enrich people of all ages through music. Boulder Phil is grateful for the generous support of individuals, organizations and communities that makes these programs possible.
Your Educational Programs
The Boulder Phil takes students in grades 3-6 on a journey to explore orchestral music in a themed, exciting and interactive program.
Boulder Phil conductors visit area music educators and their classroom or rehearsals, offering an enriching experience from the perspective of a local professional musician.
Meet the Maestro
An interactive introduction for preschoolers to the world of orchestral music, in partnership with Integral Steps and Boulder County Head Start.
The Boulder Phil and the Boulder County Audubon Society partner to connect community members with the natural world through music, as Interpretive Naturalist Dave Sutherland leads music-themed hikes in Boulder’s beautiful outdoor spaces.
Created in partnership with music therapist Bonnie Houpt from Rhythmic Roots Music Services, “Music for Our Friends” is a heartfelt collaboration aimed at creating beautiful melodies with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Music for Our Friends
A celebration of mentorship, learning, and community. Young musicians perform alongside experienced artists, demonstrating how music is passed from one generation to the next through guidance, encouragement, and shared passion.
