Kyle Sneden joined the BPO as its Production Manager in the summer of 2026. An active and highly-sought member of the front range’s orchestral community, Kyle appears regularly as a bassoonist and contrabassoonist with a number of the region’s premier professional ensembles, including the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, Opera Colorado Orchestra, the Colorado Music Festival, the Colorado Mahler Festival, and the orchestras of Boulder, Fort Collins, Greeley, Cheyenne, and Steamboat Springs.

In addition to his active performance calendar, Kyle also serves on the administrative staff of the Fort Collins Symphony as their production and stage manager, and as the production manager of the Colorado Mahler Festival. He is also a member of the technical theater staff at the Lincoln Center in Fort Collins.

Kyle has an extensive background in music education, having maintained an active and successful studio of young bassoonists around northern Colorado for over 10 years. He has served as a clinician for the Colorado All-State Band Festival, as a sectional coach for the Berkeley Youth Symphony and the San Francisco Symphony’s Youth Orchestra, and he’s taught bassoon pedagogy and performance classes at Colorado State University and the University of Northern Colorado.

A native of the Colorado front range, Kyle earned his Bachelor’s degree in music from the University of Northern Colorado, where his teachers include former BPO principal bassoon Charles Hansen, as well as Tristan Rennie and Roger Soren of the Colorado Symphony. He also holds a Master’s degree in Bassoon and Contrabassoon Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he studied with the SF Symphony’s principal bassoon Stephen Paulson and SFS contrabassoonist Steven Braustein.
